Cafelat Coffee
Robot Barista Manual Lever Espresso Maker
Hand lever espresso maker built in small runs, with a die-cast aluminum body and a stainless steel portafilter and basket. No heater and no tank: hot water goes straight into the basket from a kettle. The Barista version adds a pressure gauge.
Good to know: Cafelat makes these in small batches, so stock comes and goes. Five colours.
Why we picked it
A hand lever machine made in small runs, with a die-cast aluminum body and stainless steel for the portafilter and the basket. The seals are silicone. There is no heater and no tank: you pour water from a kettle into the basket and pull the two arms down. The Barista version carries a pressure gauge so you can watch the bar reading as you pull. Cafelat says there is no plastic anywhere in the machine, and the parts list bears that out.
What it’s made of
Die-cast aluminum, stainless steel, silicone seals. Chosen for what it’s made of, not what it’s wrapped in.
- Stainless steel
- Food-grade and near-indestructible. Won't shed microplastics.
- Aluminum
- Infinitely recyclable; refillable formats cut packaging for good.
- Silicone
- Food-grade and durable, a stable swap for single-use plastic.
