Bodum Coffee
Bodum Chambord French Press (34 oz)
Borosilicate glass carafe with a stainless steel frame and plunger, a classic, mostly metal-and-glass brewer.
Why we picked it
The Chambord is the french press, in production since the fifties: borosilicate carafe, steel frame, steel plunger and mesh. Coffee steeps in glass and gets pressed through metal. Thirty-four ounces makes enough for two mugs and a warm-up, and replacement carafes cost less than lunch when one finally meets the countertop wrong.
What it’s made of
Borosilicate glass, stainless steel. Chosen for what it’s made of, not what it’s wrapped in.
- Glass
- Inert and endlessly recyclable, never leaches into food or drink.
- Stainless steel
- Food-grade and near-indestructible. Won't shed microplastics.
