Twist Cloths & Sponges
Compostable Sponge (3-pack)
Made from cellulose and walnut shells. No plastic foam. Certified home compostable.
Why we picked it
These sponges are cellulose with crushed walnut shell for the scrubby side, and they're certified home-compostable. The standard yellow sponge is polyurethane foam, which is to say plastic, shedding as it scrubs. They hold suds well, rinse cleaner than foam, and a monthly trip through the dishwasher keeps them fresh. When one retires, it goes in the compost bin with the coffee grounds.
What it’s made of
Cellulose, walnut shell. Chosen for what it’s made of, not what it’s wrapped in.
- Plant fibre
- Loofah, jute, hemp & sisal that compost cleanly.
